corps electriques were the ensemble group of french composer hector zazou, katiejane garside, percussionist bill rieflin,  guitarist lone kent, and trumpeter nils petter molvaer. They convened to record the album corps electriques and performed live together at the french presences electroniques festival on the 15th march 2007.

hector zazou explained the genesis and production of the project, "I was asked by the group de recherche musicale to present a project for presences electroniques. I was looking for musicians with open minds ready to take some risks. I came with some musical ideas: rhythmic loops, riffs, chords. from this, katiejane chose the elements which were inspiring for her. we recorded vocal improvisations, edited them, arranged the music properly and built 'real' songs. that was done in around two weeks. and we spent one more week recording the other musicians and rehearsing for the festival performance."

the album corps electriques was released in france by radio france on the 10th january 2008.
