departures and heavenly arrivals

and so we are
here...ruby throat's 2nd album 'out of a black cloud came a bird' is 'complete',
some words i found in kjg's journal might suggest the place this record came
from - 'a long summer of serrated, grinding seconds moving over my body,
tectonic plates, a slow painful being erased, a breakdown recorded, a
devastation of spirit, a desperately 'taped on' resolution, who and what
survives? the pale art of the salesman 2009, my body a carcrash canvas, your
name scratched into it, the blunt needle point of a compass slowing the traffic,
who is the 'i' that erases 'you'?, this is a long and arduous recording, a
b-movie with resentfully gorgeous camera angles, the fallendown house of ruby
throat'
we propose a run of 500 limited edition art packages, followed by a limited
standard (ish) gatefold version, more information about online release dates and
prices to follow shortly
ruby throat play madame jojo's, brewer st, soho, 12th nov, i'm told there are 16
tickets left (tickets can be purchased via
http://www.ticketweb.co.uk), if these do not sell before hand they will be
available on the night @ the door, the new album will be available on the night
too and ruby throat go to france on friday to play three shows, dates as
follows:
30 oct 2009 - l'antre-deux, lille
31 oct 2009 - les abattoirs - festival girlzzz & rock, bourgoin jallieu
01 nov 2009 - the secret place, montepellier
